China Assets (0170): letter from shareholders requisitioning EGM

Under s113 of the Companies Ordinance, China Assets should have convened a meeting by 21 days after 19-Mar-2012, for a date not more than 28 days after the notice of meeting. They failed to do this by 9-Apr-2012, so now the requisitionists, QVT, are entitled to convene the meeting themselves, as long as the meeting is held by 9-Jul-2012. We cannot recall a HK-listed company flouting this particular law before, or a shareholder having to convene a meeting itself. Watch this space.
